Netflix kills Cinema?

No, Netflix doesn't kill cinema. Hollywood does that on its own (maybe). Cinema & Netflix have the same problem, the entry threshold to content is only lower & cheaper with Netflix. In terms of content, they both publish mass-produced material according to the textbook.

Same with music. In today's world, it´s not so much about "landing a hit", and more about consistency and pumping out 20 tracks in the same quality and with the same feel. I don´t say it´s a bad thing.

is a nice example. I don't think listeners care so much for individual tracks. Maybe some do, but the overall mass doesn't care. It's more about getting into a certain mood.

When you produce music, there are several content suppliers. The notes, the sound and the surrounding (marketing, youtube tuts, what gear you use, your style). At the moment I would say that the last two are much more weighted.

Which, of course, doesn't have to be bad. And there are of course many small exceptions, but so roughly estimated, I feel it that way. My Thread on twitter.
