Sub, E-Kick & the EQ-2 - how to tune and EQ drums in Bitwig Studio (EN/DE)

Hello Folks,

Today 3 tips in one video. As always, everything is not a mandatory rule but only an inspiration on how to approach it and should be influenced by situation and result. So try it out and don't forget to experiment, if it sounds good it you can use it.

When I tune sub and drums to each other, I often use the root of the track or the sub-bass. I tune the kick or snare to the root (in our example F), to the major third (+4 semitones above the root) or perfect fifth (+7 semitones above the root). You could of course use the Minor Third (+3 semitones) instead of the Major Third.

To EQ the drums, I use the EQ-2 in several instances to further emphasize the harmonies and a multiple of them. In Bitwig you can set the notes anywhere to avoid having to look them up in frequency tables.

Hope you can do something with the info. Have fun trying it out!

Hey,
